The Looe Old Cornwall Society, (LOCS) established in 1927, is a very active local society with around 75 members.
LOCS meets monthly during the autumn, winter and spring seasons. These
meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month. The venue is the St Martin's Church Hall, on St Martins Road. Meetings start at 2.30 p.m. and begin with about 20 minutes of business, followed by a talk related to Cornish interest. Coffee and tea is served at the end of the talk, when all members are able to chat and generally socialise.
During the summer LOCS organises outings or events of relevance to Cornwall. There are also regular Federation of Old Cornwall Society meetings to which all members are welcome. Commemoration of Cornish Heritage is also attended where appropriate, together with local annual events, such as Trelawny Day and Crying the Neck.
