Members hopefully are getting to know this web site, but it is always helpful to know where and when new changes or updates were made. Nothing is worse that trolling through a site looking for anything new. Well this brief page directs you straight to the latest changes.

Our Looe Museum Curator and LOCS Archivist has passed me information that has recently been recieved into the Museum on the Evacues to Looe in the second world war. See . Also to be found is information about , a new name on the scene which I am sure will prove interesting as he is researched more. Pehaps another Joseph Thomas!

We went to on 15th May 2010. A really great day.
ON 12th May 2010, The came to Looe for a short visit.
On 9th May 2010, the for our monthly meeting of 8th May was added.
9th February 2010. Roger Bennett has done it again. He has interviewed another local person. See 7) " " with Ruth Gardner...Glimpses of Life in West Looe in the 30's and 40's.
On 4th January 2010 the new 2010 and were added.
Read the report posted 3.11.09 of Roger Bennett talking to local Mike Fursman about his childhood . (See interview 6). It gives a fascinating insight into the war years etc.

3rd March a letter was added to the
Lammana page, written by Barbara Birchwood-Harper, following the broadcast by the "Time Team" on 1st March.

1st February 2009 memories of 5 local people that had been interviewed over the last year or so by LOCS recorders was added.

Lammana" which gives a brief outline, written by Barbara Birchwood-Harper, of LOCS involvement with the Lammana Chapel on Hannafore was added. This page also shows a slide show of some 15 photos taken of the site after Time Team had left.

8th June a page under "Exploring your Family History" which shows a poignant
story concerning the Bible of Len Fletcher that turned up at the local Toc-H in Looe.

1st May 2008 "
Exploring Your Family History" was added to. This page is a long awaited page on helping all of us start exploring our roots. Barabara has done a great job here in starting us off and it is well worth while reading it through. It is not totally finished but will be as soon as BBH completes what is clearly a lot of time and effort on her part. Please take time to read it before you start your own Historical Adventure!

On 17th Nov 2007 information about the New Book that has been pulished and issued about Looe. Entitled "The Book of Looe". On 5th September 2007 a sub-page was added under "Looe Museum" entitled "Archive Photos of Looe". Photos showing previous Gorsedds were also added under the page written by our Mayor, Ron Overd concerning the "2008 Gorsedd at Looe" page.
